Quarterbacks
- Head coach Mike Tomlin is optimistic about Ben Roethlisberger's (ankle) to play on Monday Night against the 49ers.
- Titans head coach Mike Munchak has not yet determined whether Matt Hasselbeck (calf) or rookie Jake Locker will start under center for the team on Saturday against the Jaguars. Locker came into the fourth quarter in the team's loss to the Colts on Sunday. UPDATE: Matthew Hasselbeck will remain the starter if he is healthy, according to head coach Mike Munchak.
Running Backs
- Colts running back Delone Carter injured his right forearm in the second quarter of Sunday's win over the Titans. He never returned to the game. Jim Caldwell said that we will know the extent of it in the next "day or two". Carter did not practice on Monday.
- Redskins running back Roy Helu has toe and knee injuries on Sunday according to head coach Mike Shanahan and "didn't play as good [as he normally is]."
- Titans running back Chris Johnson (ankle) is in question for week 16.
Wide Receivers
- Eagles wide receiver Desean Jackson suffered an elbow contusion in Sunday's game. Andy Reid said that Jackson should be good for this week, but keep an eye on him coming into the game against the Cowboys. Jackson had two catches for 28 yards.
- Bears wide receiver Johnny Knox underwent back surgery Monday to stabilize his vertebra, according to Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times. Lovie Smith confirmed that Knox will miss the final two games of the season. UPDATE: Surgery was successful, and Knox is expected to be recovered from his surgery within three-to-four months.
- Texans head coach Gary Kubiak said that wide receiver Andre Johnson (hamstring) will be in Tuesday's practice, according to the Texan's official site. Johnson did not practice on Monday.
Tight Ends
- Giants tight end Jake Ballard aggravated an old PCL injury according to head coach Tom Coughlin. Coughlin also said that he's "hoping it's not a season ender."
- Colts tight end Dallas Clark (neck) did not practice on Monday.
Defense/Others
- The Buccaneers placed corner back Aqib Talib (hamstring) on IR. He aggravated a pre-existing hamstring injury in the first quarter versus the Cowboys on Saturday.
